Discussion about how to describe the Fire Department, fire Company and the board of the Commissioners. Discussion on more reasons why the new truck is needed. Need for better communications. Mike asked Chief and Breslin if they and any other firefighters have any input. Living on borrowed time- Trucks lifespan is 20-25 years, were at 28. Would take 2 years to get the truck. At that time the truck will be 30 years old. Discussed the specs of the trucks and how the height is important due to the bridge being so easier to get in new trucks and not used. Going under the bridges with more water. Mike brought up that a retired firefighter said they wouldn’t need 1,500. That is standard and everyone we talked to says the same. Joe explains that Nate from Toyne said the discount was switched to at the signing not the time of delivery. Nate said he will go back to Toyne with that.
