Minutes of April 10, 2023 Meeting

 1.   Meeting called to order at 7:08 pm 

       In Attendance: Commissioners Joe La Coppola, Andy Gilpin, Richard Doyle (remote), John McLeod,  Assistant Chief Drew Coppola, , Treasurer Tom Esmond, , Sec’y K Casey

Absent: Mike McHale, Morgan Tibbitts

6Public Hearing & Requests for Use – Motion to approve the ARA’s request to hold meetings on the second Thursday of each month

7.  Chief’s Monthly Report

A. Activity and Calls – Assistant Chief Dew Coppola presented the Chief’s report for the month of March, 2023 (Copy attached). There were thirty nine alarms – averaging 6 members per call. 

B. Training report – submitted for March

C. Equipment report – submitted for March  

D. Roster Change – None

8. New Business – Purchase requests – 23-004  $9,900 for turnout gear

9Standing Committee Reports – 

A. Long Range – No report

. B. Buildings & Grounds There were three bids received for the lawn care proposal

Wescapes Lawn & Landscape $157.50 per cut    per season $6, 378

Capri Precision per season $7,260 

Maggs Lawn & Landscape $110 per cut per season $4, 265

.The Ladies Auxiliary has sold 136 bricks. Richard will be seeking bids from 3 landscapers for the installation..

F. Medical and Physical Program – Physicals completed for Cassandra, William, and C Breslin

G. Finance – – No new issues

11.. Treasurer’s Report – 

Andy Gilpin reviewed the bank statements

A. Tom Esmond presented his report and showed a balance of $447,399.29 in the Operating Fund, and $154,017.85 in the Reserve Funds as of March 31, 2023

1. Review vouchers and consideration to pay

Motion to pay vouchers 23-074 through 23-093 in the amount of $44,316.32

13. Old Business – Bids are being received for the electronic sign. Discussions are underway as to how to pay for it.
