Got a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4) and wish it was more like a full Pi 4B? This Waveshare adapter is your magic ticket. It's a clever carrier board that lets you plug in your CM4 (Lite or eMMC versions) and gives you all the ports and interfaces you'd expect from a Raspberry Pi 4B. And it even goes a step further – it packs four USB 3.0 ports (way faster than the Pi 4B's USB 2.0), a Gigabit Ethernet port, a PoE header for power-over-Ethernet hats, and the usual HDMI, audio, and GPIO. The DSI and CSI camera ports are there too. It uses a USB-C port for power (needs a solid 5V 2A supply), which can also be used to flash the eMMC. The design is super compatible, so most HATs made for the Pi 4B should work just fine. Perfect if you need a more robust, industrial-feeling Pi with better USB speed, or if you're building a custom project and want the power of the CM4 in a familiar Pi 4B form factor. Just remember, the CM4 itself isn't included – this is just the adapter board to unleash its potential!
